Islamic racism against the Afghan immigrants in Iran
Alongside the imposition of poverty, misery, and suppression of the people, since the end of June the regime of Islamic fascists has intensified its systematic racist attacks on Afghan refugees. Before then, the Afghan children were prohibited to go to school or study at university in Iran. Next, it was forbidden for Afghans to stay in some cities or enter some parks! And now a new set of regulations in some provinces are being implemented against Afghans.
Selling bread and other food, or giving health services to “illegal” Afghans are banned. Office of Immigrant Affairs and Foreign Nationals in the province of Fars has given to supermarkets, bakeries, taxi drivers, and the public the ”liberty” to check themselves the identification documents of Afghans. Meanwhile Afghan neighbourhoods have been attacked at night by the terror gangs of Pasdaran and Basij and many Afghans were arrested, accused of being “illegal”. In the continuation of anti-Afghan actions, tens of Afghan domiciles were put on fire in the city of Yazd.
In another action, over 300 Afghan citizens were arrested in Jiroft and a couple of days ago, Director General of Office of Foreign Nationals in Interior Ministry declared that according to the rules an Afghan citizen who stays illegally in the country shall be considered as a criminal!
It is the duty of all decent people not to remain silent about these inhumane actions that remind of the period of Hitler. Worker-communist Party of Iran strongly condemns the racist attacks by the Islamic regime on Afghan immigrants in Iran. The Party calls on freedom-loving and egalitarian people, organisations of the opposition to the Islamic regime to participate in meetings on July 14th, in protest against these crimes and in defense of civil rights for Afghans residents of Iran.
