NEWS CENTER -The Women’s Council of North and East Syria writes an open letter to women all around the world against Turkey’s offensive on their region.As Turkey’s offensive on NE Syria has entered fourth day, the Women’s Council of North and East Syria writes an open letter to women all around the world. NE Syrian women call on all women to join the Global Action Day on the 12th October against the offensive on NE Syria.The letter titled “To all women and to people of the world who love freedom” says;“As women from various cultures and beliefs from the ancient lands of Mesopotamia, we are sending our warmest greeting to you.We call on you to join the Global Action Day on the 12th October to stop Turkey’s invasion war in NE Syria and to overcome fascism and patriarchy all around the world!‘We are writing to you in the middle of the war’We are writing to you in the middle of the war in the north and east of Syria forced by the Turkish state on our homeland. We have been living and resisting for 3 days under the bombardment of Turkish fighter jets and tank shelling. We have witnessed how mothers in our neighborhoods are targeted by Turkish shelling when they go out of their houses to get bread for their families. We have seen how a NATO- grenade explosion ripped the leg of 7-years old Sara into pieces and killed her 12-years old brother Mohammed. We are witnessing as Christian neighborhoods and churches are bombarded and our Christian sisters and brothers whose grandparents survived the genocide in 1915 are now murdered by the army of Erdogan’s new Ottoman Empire. Two years ago, we witnessed that the Turkish state built a 620 km long border wall with UN and EU funds to physically strengthen the division of our country and prevent more refugees from going to Europe. Now, We are witnessing that the Turkish state’s tanks, soldiers and jihadist killer groups have removed part of the wall to invade our towns and villages.‘We are witnessing military attacks’We are witnessing how the neighborhoods, villages, schools, hospitals and cultural heritage of the Kurdish, Ezidi, Arab, Syriac, Armenian, Chechen, Circassian, Turkmen and other cultures that are living here communally are targeted by airstrikes and artillery fire. We are witnessing how thousands of families are forced to flee from their homes to seek refuge without having a safe place to go. Additionally, we are witnessing the new attacks of ISIS killer commandos in cities like Raqqa, which was liberated from the Islamic State terror regime two years ago with the common struggle of our people. Once again, we witness the joint military attacks of the Turkish army and their jihadist mercenaries against Serêkani, Girêsipi and Kobane. These are just a few of the incidents we have faced since Erdoğan declared the war on October 9, 2019.While we are witnessing the first steps of the implementation of Turkey‘s genocidal ethnic cleansing operation, we are also witnessing the brave resistance of women, men and young people raising their voices and defending their land and dignity. For 3 days fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces SDF together with YPJ and YPG have been fighting successfully in the forefront to prevent Turkey‘s invasion and massacres. Women and people of all ages are a part of all fields of this resistance to defend humanity and the gains and values of the women’s revolution in Rojava.As women, we are determined to fight until we achieve the victory of peace, freedom and justice. Lettera aperta delle donne della Siria settentrionale alle donne di tutto il mondo

Il Consiglio delle donne della Siria del nord e dell’est scrivono una lettera aperta a tutte le donne del mondo contro l’offensiva della Turchia nella loro regione. Mentre l’offensiva al nord est della Siria è giunta al quarto giorno, il Consiglio delle donne della Siria del nord e dell’est ha scritto una lettera a tutte le donne del mondo.
Le donne della Siria del nord est hanno chiesto a tutte le donne di unirsi alla Giornata di iniziativa globale contro l’offensiva in Siria settentrionale.
La lettera intitolata “ A tutte le donne e ai popoli del mondo che amano la liberà” dice:
“Come donne di varie culture e fedi delle terre antiche della Mesopotamia vi mandiamo i più calorosi saluti. Vi chiediamo di unirvi alla Giornata di iniziativa globale del 12 ottobre per fermare la guerra di invasione della Turchia nel nord est della Siria e per rovesciare il fascismo ed il patriarcato in tutto il mondo!
Vi stiamo scrivendo nel bel mezzo della guerra.
Vi stiamo scrivendo nel bel mezzo della guerra nella Siria del nord est forzata dalla Stato turco nella nostra terra natale. Stiamo resistendo da tre giorni sotto i bombardamenti degli aerei da combattimento e dei carri armati turchi.
Abbiamo assistito a come le madri nei loro quartieri sono prese di mira dai bombardamenti quando escono di casa per prendere il pane per le loro famiglie. Abbiamo visto come l’esplosione di una granata Nato ha ridotto a brandelli la gamba di Sara di sette anni, e ha ucciso suo fratello Mohammed di dodici anni.
Stiamo assistendo a come quartieri e chiese cristiane vengono bombardate e a come i nostri fratelli e sorelle cristiani, i cui antenati erano sopravvissuti al genocidio del 1915, vengono adesso uccisi dall’esercito del nuovo impero Ottomano di Erdogan.
Due anni fa, abbiamo assistito allo Stato turco che ha costruito un muro di confine lungo 620 km, attraverso fondi UE e ONU, per rafforzare la divisione del nostro paese e per impedire a molti rifugiati di raggiungere l’Europa.
Adesso stiamo assistendo alla rimozione di parti del muro da parte di carri armati, di soldati dello Stato turco e jihadisti per invadere le nostre città ed i nostri villaggi.
Stiamo assistendo ad attacchi militari.
Stiamo assistendo a come quartieri, villaggi, scuole, ospedali, il patrimonio culturale dei curdi, degli yazidi, degli arabi, dei siriaci , degli armeni, dei ceceni, dei circassi e dei turcomanni e di altre culture che qui vivono comunitariamente, vengono presi di mira dagli attacchi aerei e dal fuoco dell’artiglieria.
Stiamo assistendo a come migliaia di famiglie sono costrette a fuggire dalle loro case per cercare rifugio senza avere un luogo sicuro dove andare.
Oltre a questo, stiamo assistendo a nuovi attacchi di squadroni di assassini di ISIS in città come Raqqa, che era stata liberata dal terrore del regime dello Stato Islamico due anni fa con una lotta comune della nostra gente.
Ancora una volta stiamo assistendo ad attacchi congiunti dell’esercito turco e dei lor mercenari jihadisti contro Serêkani, Girêsipi e Kobane. Questi sono solo alcuni degli incidenti che abbiamo affrontato da quando Erdoğan ha dichiarato guerra il 9 ottobre 2019.
Mentre stiamo assistendo al primo passo dell’attuazione dell’operazione di pulizia etnica genocida della Turchia, assistiamo anche all’eroica resistenza delle donne, degli uomini e dei giovani che alzano la loro voce e difendono la loro terra e la loro dignità. Per tre giorni i combattenti delle Forze siriane democratiche, insieme alle YPG e alle JPY hanno combattuto con successo in prima fila per impedire l’invasione della Turchia e dei massacri.
Donne e uomini di tutte le età sono parte di tutti gli ambiti di questa resistenza per difendere l’umanità , le acquisizioni e i valori della rivoluzione delle donne in Rojava.
Come donne siamo determinate a combattere fino a quando otterremo la vittoria della pace, della libertà e e della giustizia. Per ottenere il nostro obiettivo contiamo sulla solidarietà internazionale e la lotta comune di tutte le donne e gente che ama la libertà.”
Richieste delle donne
* Fine dell’invasione e dell’occupazione della Turchia nella Siria del nord
* Istituzione di una No-Fly zone per la protezione della vita dela popolazione nella Siria del nord e dell’est
* Prevenire ulteriori crimini di guerra e la pulizia etnica da parte delle forze armate turche
* Garantire la condanna di tutti i criminali di guerra secondo il diritto internazionale
*Fermare la vendita di armi in Turchia
*Attuare sanzioni economiche e politiche contro la Turchia
*Adottare provvedimenti immdiati per una soluzione della crisi politica in Siria con la partecipazione e la rappresentanza di tutte le differenti comunità nazionali, culturali e religiose in Siria.

QAMISHLI – Syria’s Future Party Secretary Hevrîn Xelef lost her life as a result of the bombing of his vehicle in Reqa.As Turkey’s offensive on NE Syrian is going on, civilians’ convoy heading from Reqa to Girê Spî was targeted by bombardment.
